Silver Home ("we", "us" or "our") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect your personal information when you use the SilverHome application (the "App"). Please read this Policy carefully before using the App. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

To provide smart-home control services, we may collect the following categories of information:

Account information: username, email address, phone number and password you provide when registering or signing in.
Device information: mobile device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as IDFA, Android ID) and App version.
Smart device data: information about the smart devices you bind (device name, model, status), including control commands, runtime logs and operating parameters of smart mowers, pool cleaners, instant printers and similar IoT devices.
Network information: Wi-Fi network name (SSID), IP address and connection state, used to discover and connect to your smart devices.
Location information: with your authorization, we may collect your approximate or precise location for geofencing and automation triggers.
Usage data: App usage frequency, feature interactions, crash logs and performance data, used to improve the App.
Push notification tokens: used to deliver device-status alerts and security notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Provide, maintain and improve the smart-home control service.
Enable device discovery, binding, control and automation.
Send notifications and alerts related to your account and devices.
Provide troubleshooting and technical support.
Analyze usage trends to optimize features and user experience.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Legal bases (for users in the EEA / UK): we process your personal data on the basis of (a) contract performance for service delivery, (b) legitimate interests for security, troubleshooting and product improvement, (c) your consent for optional features such as precise location, and (d) legal obligation where required by applicable law. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: we share necessary information with third parties that help us operate the App (such as cloud hosting and analytics providers). These providers are bound by data-protection obligations consistent with this Policy.
Device manufacturers: to enable interoperability, we may relay required commands and device data to relevant device manufacturers.
Legal compliance: we may disclose information when required by law, by a competent authority, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or us.
Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality safeguards.

4. Storage, International Transfers and Security

Where your data is stored

We host the App's backend on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using a multi-region architecture. Depending on your service region and routing, your data may be stored or processed in AWS regions located outside your country of residence, including in the United States and other regions where AWS operates.

International data transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or other jurisdictions with cross-border transfer rules, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, to comply with tax, accounting or other legal obligations).

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encryption at rest where applicable) and access-control measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access and rectification: view and correct your personal information in the App or by contacting us.
Erasure: request deletion of your account and associated data.
Restriction and objection: restrict or object to certain processing activities, including processing based on legitimate interests.
Data portability: request a copy of the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used format.
Withdraw consent: withdraw any consent you previously provided (for example, location), at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Right to lodge a complaint (EEA / UK users): you may complain to your local data-protection supervisory authority.

For California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have specific rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. 6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete the information promptly. Where local law sets a different minimum age (for example, 13 under COPPA in the United States), we apply that local minimum age in addition to the global threshold of 16.

7. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to or integrations with third-party services (including, but not limited to, Google Sign-In, push notification providers and analytics services). Those third parties have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties; we recommend reviewing their policies before using their services.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you through in-App notice or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after the update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
